Playstation 2 Fishing Games
The Sony Playstation 2 (PS2) had many fishing games released for it. Luckily the majority of them were pretty good. The best ones for the console are Fisherman’s Challenge, Reel Fishing 3, Fisherman’s Bass Club, and Sega Bass fishing Duel. Fisherman’s Challenge stands above all though. The Fishing areas, gameplay, gear, and upgrades were all superior compared to other game titles. It Definitely was more difficult than other games, but fun at the same time. It provided a more realistic fishing experience overall. Reel Fishing 3 was the breakout title in this series. Featuring beautiful photo-realistic locations and 3D underwater views. Even though it was tough in later levels, it was fair and balanced. If you are looking for just straight single-player bass fishing and tournaments. Go with Fisherman’s Bass Club. Sega Bass Fishing Duel was also a great one for tournament play. Playing Split screen against a friend was a blast. There are other worthy titles for PS2. These were just my favorites. Stay away from River King: A Wonderful Journey. It was boring. It did not do the great Gameboy Color games in the series justice. Overall the Playstation 2 is a great system to own if you are looking to play some quality fishing games.
