PlayStation Fishing Games
The original Sony PlayStation (PS1) had tons of fishing games released for it. The majority of them were pretty good. Fisherman’s Bait 2: Big Ol’ Bass is my favorite game for the console. It was like Playstation’s version of SEGA Bass Fishing. Great sounds, music, graphics, and fast action arcade-style gameplay. Featured a good amount of fish species, tournaments, and cool locations. Part one was not nearly as good. The Developer Konami realized this and released a much better game in less than a year. Championship Bass is another must-play game. Graphically it did not look as good as the PC version. It has realistic gameplay and tons of depth though. The game was so challenging. With full control of your boat and challenging fishing tournaments. Fingers crossed someday Electronic Arts releases another high quality fishing game like Championship Bass for current consoles. Bass Landing is also worth a try. The gameplay was fun, but I did not like the graphics or music much. The rest of the games for the PS1 are not terrible, but not must-plays either.
